For people with disabilities, detailed and reliable information is an essential basis for their travel decisions.

‘Tourism for All’ is the information and evaluation system thoughout Germany that enables guests to independently assess the suitability of an offer for their needs.

It allows guests to check the usability and accessibility of offers along the entire customer journey in advance of their trip using reliable detailed information, and to select and book offers that are suitable for them.

‘Tourism for All’ is based on comprehensive criteria designed to ensure high cross-sector quality standards. These criteria were developed by associations representing people with disabilities as well as tourism associations.

The basis of the ‘Travel for All’ labelling system is as follows:

  • Specially trained surveyors visit the establishments and locations and collect data on accessibility using standardised nationwide survey forms. This is not a self-assessment by the service provider.

  • Detailed and verified information on the accessibility and usability of the offer/property is available for all groups of people and can be viewed by guests.

  • At least one member of staff has attended a training on the topic of ‘Accessibility as a feature of quality and comfort’.
